IV Young Scholars International Workshop (May 15th, 2013)
The aim of the workshop is to promote communication skills, academic publishing and public policy impact among young researchers in the field of Information and Communication Technologies for Development (ICTD).
At the end of the workshop participants will be able to:
- Identify the characteristics of each audience group and the decision making process
- Develop key messages for your primary audience
- Develop and monitor indicators of research impact
- Identify and improve their chances of academic publication
- Design strategies for research dissemination
The workshop is aimed at emerging researchers (under 35 years old) working on issues related to the use of information and communication technologies and telecommunications for development.
The only accepted proposals will be those from researchers who are applying for REDECOM ACORN Conference 2013 (the deadline for submitting proposals to the conference due on January 30th, 2013).

Full scholarships are awarded based on criteria of need and quality of the proposals. Participants obtaining scholarships for this workshop will receive an additional grant to participate in the young researchers’ panel in the ACORN-REDECOM 2013 (www.acorn-redecom.org/)conference to be held on May 17th - 18th, 2013.
